IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPMENT......... It is difficult to choose among the known good sites, let alone the unknown.
Some links to sites which are of allied interest is given here. Three years ago( 1996) when I started surfing the net, sites on film lore and trivia were dominating Tamil websites. Since then excellent sites with insight into many aspects of Tamil and Indian life have grown rapidly. There are dedicated sites for environmental , metaphysical, medical and aesthetic issues which look at systems holistically (comes closer to eastern outlook). Tamil Nation site of Nadesan Satyendra is an important destination, to inform and participate. This site is also a cyber junction, giving comprehensive listing of Tamil & other allied site. This is a search engine for "essense in Tamil". When I was looking for illustrations for articles two years ago, I drew a blank among "authentic Indian sites" , but came across visual treats in Chantal Boulinger's, Steve Hoffman's and others. A good site, as a rule, like air and water gives a free and open feel. Some excellent quasi commercial sites have sprung up. These are tastefully done and does not stop at selling exotic wares but goes beyond in informing. Some of these commercial sites really appear to be operated by enthusiasts of aethestics.
